We are more than anxious around our house these days. So much going on in our minds and hearts, so much to actually get done before we have a babe (a walking, curious babe) in the house! The good thing is that I'm nesting like a mad woman.
Luckily I have a most patient husband who puts up with my late night cupboard organizing and random closet clearing. Today I made a huge delivery to the Goodwill...and I'm not one to keep lots of "stuff" around the house, so we're taking it to a new level with this round of nesting.
I have started packing one suitcase. We are so happy to be traveling in summer, no bulky clothes to bring. It doesn't really matter though, I can't resist packing half of Emily's wardrobe, it's all so darn cute!
But if you look at this picture you'll see that we will also be bringing half of the CVS pharmacy with us to China. Everyone assures me that we will want to have medicines at the ready, since kids often tend to get sick due to the stress of changing caregivers. So meds for sniffles, coughs, eyes, ears, too much pooping, too little pooping, and on and on...it's getting packed into the bag.
16 days until we meet our girl...and a possibility of meeting her one day earlier. I'm so misty and emotional these days. I can't believe it's getting so close. I just can't wait to touch her and smell her and hold her close and begin to share our lives with her. 9 days until we can land in China. We are so blessed!
